(Summary description)The coiler with tension reel is used in reversible or irreversible cold rolled steel plate or strip rolling line. This kind of coiler is not only used to take (unfold) rolled pieces, but also to generate tension on the rolled pieces. This is to keep the rolling process stable, make the plate more tightly coiled, and make the rolled pieces have the correct direction when feeding into and rolling out of the rolls. In the rolling process, it is generally necessary to maintain the front tension and back tension. Depending on these tensions, the pressure on the roll can be reduced, and the warpage of strip steel can be reduced, which is beneficial to improve the surface quality of strip steel. In single stand reversible cold rolling mill, coiler with tension reel is installed in front of and behind the mill, which alternately become active or driven, that is, one coiling and the other unfolding. On the continuous or irreversible single stand cold rolling mill, the coiler is only installed at the back of the mill and the uncoiler is installed in front of the mill. When the first pass is rolled, the strip steel is sent from the uncoiler to the work roll of the rolling mill, and the pressing plate or roller guide plate is used to compress the strip steel, which produces a small post tension for rolling; then, the strip steel enters the jaw of the coiler drum, clamps the head of the strip steel for coiling, and generates the front tension. The disadvantage of reversible cold rolling is that both ends of strip cannot be rolled. In order to reduce the consumption of scrap at both ends, large diameter steel coils or welding lead strips at both ends of strip steel are often used. In the process of coiler coiling, the diameter of steel coil is changing, which leads to the constant change of coiling speed. In order to make the coiling speed adapt to the rolling speed and keep the tension constant during rolling, the speed of the coiler is required to be adjustable, and the speed range should adapt to the change of rolling speed and coil diameter. Therefore, the adjustable speed DC motor is generally used. After rolling, the steel coil is to be unloaded from the drum. Therefore, the coiler drum must be cantilever type. However, the reel is used to take up the strip steel under a great tension, so the reel shaft will bear a great load (including the weight of the drum, the weight of the strip steel coil, the torque caused by the bending of the strip steel and the tension). In order to ensure the rigidity and strength of the drum shaft and reduce the bending of the drum shaft, in addition to increasing the size of the drum shaft, a rotating bracket is generally installed at the free end of the drum. When coiling the strip, the support supports the free end of the drum; while in the process of unwinding, the support turns to the side, which does not hinder the unwinding. In the process of coil unloading, the steel coil is pushed out from the drum by a pusher or a pusher with a decoiler trolley, and then transported away.
