Coiler is used in many industries. Coiler is a kind of mechanical equipment to roll products into coils. In terms of complexity, steel coiler in metallurgical industry is representative. The coiler is driven by power, fluid, etc. The coiler generally consists of core equipment drum (reel), auxiliary coiling equipment (auxiliary forming equipment) auxiliary coiling roll (forming roll), etc. In the process of product coiling, the product is mainly formed on the reel. The reel is generally driven by the motor. The auxiliary coiler roll is generally driven by the motor. The fluid hydraulic cylinder drives the auxiliary coiling roll to move, so as to help the coil forming smoothly.
Coiler is mainly used for winding long rolled pieces into coils or plates. In the modern cold rolling strip workshop, coiler is also widely used in shearing, pickling, polishing heat treatment after grinding, tin plating and galvanizing.
Due to the difference of technology between strip steel production and wire rod production, cold strip production and hot strip production, coiler still has its own characteristics and functions, which leads to their structural differences.
There are many types of coiler, which can be divided into three types according to their use and structure
1. The coiler with tension reel usually coils steel plate or strip steel under the condition of tension in cold state;
2. Roller type coiler, used for hot and cold coiling steel plate and strip steel;
3. Coiler for wire rod and small section steel.
